GoBMXing Day - 14th November 2015
The GoBMXing Day was held on Saturday 14th November, coinciding with the 45th Anniversary of BMX and included a group ride along the Brisbane River through West End and Southbank. TRACTION was invited to cater for attendees and our volunteer team cooked up a treat, barbecuing gourmet burgers and hot dogs to raise funds.
Congratulations Bruce Morris for putting on a great day. Thanks to Ellaspede for providing the venue, and Emily and Bec from BOSC for generously donating the proceeds of drink sales to TRACTION. Check out some photos below or click here to more shots of the action, including the Bunnyhop Competition!

"Canapés in the Shed" 2015
Over 140 guests attended “Canapés in the Shed” on Thursday 29th October. Set within the industrial surrounds of “Shed 27” in Capalaba, the event was our first fundraiser.
The Brisbane community has embraced TRACTION and attendees included Matt Turner (Founder of 99 Bikes), John Peterson (Owner of Pro Motorcycles), Jason Daniel (Founder of LKI), Bronwyn Johnstone (Capalaba State College) and Neil Kelly (Hemmant Flexi Learning Centre).
Sofie Formica was radiant as the event MC, James Brown of Ray White Caboolture was the exuberant auctioneer and Mayor Karen Williams lent the support of Redland City Council. Over $18,000 was raised for the program on the night providing fuel for growth of a program that has been exceptionally well received by the community.
