Following a wonderful 2 ½ years delivering programs at Shed 27 in Capalaba, we've been fortunate to secure space in the former horticulture compound at the Alexandra Hills TAFE campus. The TRACTION team fit out the new workshop over the Christmas break ready for term 1 kick off in January.
Thank you to our supporters, local MP's (including Federal member for Bowen, Andrew Laming; State member for Lytton, Joan Pease), mentors, volunteers and school representatives who attended a sneak peak at the new TRACTION workshop at Alexandra Hills yesterday.

The TRACTION team had a ball at bayside skate parks for a series of "BMX Break Out" events held over 4 days from 8-11 January 2018.
TRACTION Mentors and program participants provided FREE safety checks and tune ups for the BMX, scooter and skate board enthusiast community who came along to hang out in Redlands recreational facilities. The week started at Capalaba Skate Park and culminated with a BBQ and giveaways at the new Mt Cotton Skate Park on Thursday. Congratulations to Tama who was the lucky winner of a new BMX bike. Redland City Council supported the community events and TRACTION mentors and participants were able to hang out with locals hitting up the parks on their bikes, scooters and skateboards. Thanks to former TRACTION participants TJ, Jassamyn, Amber and Jayde for helping out at the events and applying their bicycle mechanical skills on the job! Thanks also to 99 Bikes who also supported the event and supplied parts that TRACTION mentors and participants fitted to the bikes of skate park attendees that needed repair. It was hot but great to get outdoors on the holidays! |
