The second Brisbane Bicycle Swap Meet, organised by TRACTION, was held on Sunday 5th December in West End.
The meet once again provided the chance for the Brisbane cycling enthusiast community to come together to share all types of bicycles and bike parts. Thank you to all stallholders and attendees for making it a great day! All gold coin entry fees support the charitable program in its mission to empower young people in need. Congratulations to Glen who won the Academy Entrant BMX in the raffle. Thank you to 99 Bikes for donating the bike to TRACTION. A massive shout out to TRACTION mentor Richard for organising the swap meet, the TRACTION team who helped make the day happen, and for Pensar (The Infrastructure People) - long time supporter of TRACTION, for allowing us to hold the swap meet in their car park at West End! TRACTION intends to hold 3 swap meets next year, so to keep in the loop, please follow @bnebicycleswap on Facebook

We were stoked to be part of both Dust Hustle events this year! Thanks to the team at Ellaspede for giving TRACTION the chance to get involved. Dust Hustle is open to all the weird and wonderful motorcycles that could possibly be ridden on the dirt. It's also a chance for our TRACTION mentor and volunteer community to have a bit of fun.
Dust Hustle 5 (DH5) saw a field of 120+ riders will pilot the most weird, wonderful and woefully unsuitable motorcycles on the professional dirt track in the best damn display of dirt and dust tomfoolery. Thousands of spectators turned out to see some of the best value motorcycle entertainment. TRACTION Mentor Karl piloted a Honda CT110 'postie' around the track this year. Following the success of the first meet on 2nd July, the swap is back! Organised by TRACTION, the meet is a chance for the Brisbane cycling enthusiast community to come together to share all types of bicycles and bike parts. All proceeds from stall holder and gold coin entry fees support TRACTION in its mission to empower young people in need.
