ST JAMES COLLEGE (SJC) |
![]() Brisbane State High School (BSHS) has come to symbolise and exemplify the excellence of state school education. BSHS is proud of the great number of past students who have contributed to their state and country through their achievements at the highest levels in public life, sport, business and the community. The school is just as proud of those past students whose lives have been lived on a more modest scale, but who, through the decency, ethics and commitment that their school helped to develop, have served their community just as well. Our present students continue this tradition.
School motto: Knowledge is power. BSHS believes that the pursuit of knowledge equips and enables our students to make a powerful difference in the world. School contact: Michael Graves (Guidance Officer) Click here for more information about BSHS. |
![]() St James is a co-educational Catholic Secondary School located in Spring Hill and run with a philosophy based on Gospel values and the tradition of Edmund Rice, the founder of Christian Brothers. This philosophy is to integrate faith, life and culture in an environment of tolerance, pride and respect for individual worth. Christian values are woven into all areas of school life. The happiness of the individual, whatever his/her achievement is of vital importance. School rules exist as in every community but students, as they mature and progress through the school, are assisted to develop self-discipline and personal responsibility.
