Refund & Returns Policy

Refund of Donations

Donations can only be refunded under extenuating circumstances at the discretion of management. Please contact us in writing if a refund is required and we will review the request and respond within 48 hours. In the event the donation is refunded, the associated Deductible Gift Recipient receipt (for tax purposes) must be revoked.

Return of Merchandise

Provided all items are in the original, saleable condition, we will happily offer an exchange or refund within 30 days of original purchase.

Sale of Second Hand Goods

Sales of second-hand goods, such as bicycles, are made pursuant to the following terms and conditions.

TRACTION warrants that:
1. TRACTION has the right to sell the bicycle.
2. The bicycle was serviced and refurbished, however is sold in an ‘as is’ condition and in working order at the time of sale.
3. The bicycle is sold on the basis that it is only fit for its intended use. For example, a racer should not be used for BMXing or off-road use.
4. Purchasers become the legal owner of the bicycle and to the best of TRACTION’s knowledge, the bicycles sold are free from all liens and encumbrances.

The bicycles that TRACTION mentors and participants service and refurbish are donated by the community so TRACTION does not have any understanding of how the bicycle was treated or maintained by the previous owner/s, so other than the above warranties, TRACTION gives no other warranties about the bicycle or its construction either expressed or implied.

The focus of the TRACTION Bicycle Build program is for participants to learn practical and life skills and experience a sense of accomplishment having completed their project/s. The mentor team at TRACTION makes every effort to ensure each bicycle is safe and fit for purpose, however TRACTION does not guarantee that the bicycle meets regulatory or industry standards that apply to bicycle wholesalers, retailers or mechanics.

If you have any concerns about the working order or condition of the bicycle you are purchasing, we recommend having your local bike shop undertake a service/check.

Unfortunately, we are not in a position to provide refunds or returns.
